Whether you want to train, bring expertise or support the initiative, there is a way in. All are open to the six stakeholder groups, with no technical degree required.

Route 1
Apply to HaitiSIG 2026
Applications are open to anyone based in Haiti, as well as to members of the Haitian diaspora engaged on digital issues. No computer science degree is required: the programme is designed for varied profiles, including legal, economic, journalistic and community backgrounds.
Selection criteria
- Motivation and commitment to contribute after the training
- Relevance of the profile to the themes of the edition
- Gender balance, with a parity target
- Geographic distribution across the five hubs
- Representation of the six stakeholder groups
- Generational diversity and a place for young people
- Availability for all five days

Route 2
Public call for contributions
The Haiti IGF agenda is not decided behind closed doors. Any organisation or individual may propose a topic, session, workshop, case study or priority question. Proposals are assessed by the organising committee against public criteria.
Accepted formats
- Multi-stakeholder panel or roundtable
- Participatory workshop
- Policy lab on a Haitian case
- Lightning talk (5 to 7 minutes)
- Research presentation or field experience
- Youth session
Evaluation criteria
- Relevance to national digital priorities
- Diversity of proposed speakers, including gender
- Neutrality: no purely promotional session
- Feasibility within the hybrid format and allotted time
- Added value for Haitian public debate
- Connection to the cross-cutting themes of the edition
How to submit
Until the dedicated form opens, proposals may be sent by email to info@fgi.org.ht, stating: the title, preferred format, an abstract of no more than 200 words, the proposed speakers and their stakeholder group, and the intended outcome of the session.
Route 3
Support the initiative
The initiative is non-commercial. Contributions take varied forms, and not all are financial: hosting a hub or mentoring three participants is worth as much as a budget contribution.
Host a hub
Provide a room, connectivity and a support team during the training week or the Forum day.
Bring expertise
Contribute as a trainer, mentor, facilitator or rapporteur on one of the programme themes.
Provide financial support
Contribute to connectivity, regional logistics, accessibility or participation bursaries.
Collaborate on research
Involve a laboratory or university team in the policy labs and the drafting of recommendations.
Mobilise a community
Relay the calls, identify applicants from under-represented groups, organise local sessions.
Technical support
Broadcast platform, control room, interpretation, captioning, digital accessibility, session archiving.
